LittleBigPlanet has announced the indefinite closure of the servers for LittleBigPlanet 3 on PlayStation 4.
LittleBigPlanet announced this in a tweet on its official handle on Monday, adding that the decision comes after ongoing technical issues that led to the temporary shutdown of the servers in January 2024.
As a result of the server closure, all online services for LittleBigPlanet 3, including access to other players' creations, have been discontinued.
However, user-generated content (UGC) stored locally on players' PS4 consoles will remain available for offline play. Any new UGC created by players can still be accessed and played on their PS4, but sharing features have been disabled.
Despite the closure of online services, offline features such as the campaign mode will remain playable for LittleBigPlanet 3 players.
The announcement expressed gratitude to the community for their support over the years, acknowledging the news with "very heavy hearts" and thanking players for their continued love and support.
