Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Fred began his career at América Mineiro before moving to Internacional in 2013. Before moving to Manchester United in 2018, he played 155 games for Shakhtar Donetsk.

Fred: A New Start at Fenerbahçe

The Turkish club Fenerbahçe is banking on Fred to assist solidify their midfield. Last season, the Turkish team finished second in the Süper Lig, but they were 19 points behind the league champion, Trabzonspor. Many are surprised by Fred's departure from Manchester United for Fenerbahçe, as the Brazilian midfielder showed promise in his time with the Red Devils. Fred, however, has chosen to start over and get a chance to show off his skills in a new setting because of the fierce rivalry for squad positions.
