Former U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, have put to rest rumors regarding their marriage, which have circulated throughout the year.
The speculation intensified due to Michelle’s notable absence from various public engagements attended by Barack, leading to assumptions about a rift in their long-lasting partnership.
However, during a lighthearted discussion on The Michelle Obama Podcast, the couple, who have two daughters, Malia and Sasha, reassured listeners of their enduring affection for one another and confessed they were mostly unaware of the gossip.
Barack shared that he learned about the rumors from a friend, while Michelle asserted that she has never contemplated leaving him since their wedding in 1992, despite facing challenges in their relationship.
“I know, because when we aren’t [seen together], folks think we’re divorced,” Michelle remarked.
Barack added, “So, I don’t even know this stuff’s going on. Then someone will bring it up, and I’m left wondering, ‘What are you talking about?’” Michelle chimed in, stating, “There has never been a moment in our marriage when I’ve considered giving up on my man.
We’ve experienced tough times and a lot of enjoyable moments, a ton of adventures. I’ve grown as a person thanks to the man I’m married to.”
The former First Lady clarified that they simply do not share their relationship on social media. “We are 60.
The fact that people don’t see me going out on a date with my husband gives rise to rumors suggesting the end of our marriage.
It’s like, okay, just because we don’t Instagram every second of our lives.”
