A 40 year old farmer, Abraham Achibong, has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for alleged incest with his 14-year-old daughter in Akure, the Ondo state capital.
The suspect, however, confessed to the crime.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the security agency in the state, Aidamenbor Daniel, said that “Achibong, was arrested for molesting his own daughter who is 14 years old since she was 8 years.
“This has been going on for 6 years until few days ago when the girl (name withheld) summoned courage to confide in her teacher when the Ondo State Primary Health Care officers visited her school on a sensitization programme on Human Papilloma Virus vaccine. The suspect has since confessed to the crime, and he would be prosecuted in the law court for his crime of rape, molestation and incest”.
The spokesperson, said that the suspect had confessed to a crime and that he would be charged to court after the completion of the investigation and he would be prosecuted in the law court for his crime of rape, molestation and incest.”
