Bayelsa Gov Diri Appoints SSG, Three Others

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has approved the appointment of Nimibofa Ayawei as the Secretary to the State Government. 

Diri also named Peter Akpe as the Chief of Staff. 

Akpe was the Deputy Chief of Staff and later appointed acting Chief of Staff in the governor’s first term. 

The appointments, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah, on Tuesday in Yenagoa, the state capital. 

The statement added that Irorodamie Komonibo had been appointed as the new Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, while Alabrah retained his position as the CPS.
Komonibo was the Principal Secretary to the Governor in his first tenure.
