The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has cautioned customers against making cash payments to unauthorized metering agents and announced the availability of meters following the recent acquisition of a new stock through the Meter Asset Provider scheme.

Francis Agoha, the Acting Managing Director of IBEDC, encouraged customers to register for meter acquisition through the dedicated platform designed under the MAP scheme to ensure a seamless and secure metering experience.
The company has provided multiple secure payment options to facilitate convenient and secure customer transactions, and those who must make cash payments due to limited access to online services should obtain a valid receipt for every transaction.
The statement emphasized the importance of visiting the official website for meter registration and payments to safeguard transactions and warned against engaging with unauthorized agents claiming to represent IBEDC.
Agoha strongly advised against making cash payments to third parties and urged customers to exercise caution and obtain a valid receipt bearing their copy to prevent potential fraud.
