The governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has launched a residents' registration exercise to create an accurate database that will guide the government's developmental plans and enhance security.
The initiative aims to gather relevant information to facilitate the allocation of resources, including access to social protection services like health insurance and government support across different demographics.
The governor himself participated in the registration process, emphasizing the importance of having reliable data for effective planning and fair resource distribution.
"With accurate data, we can plan for the present and make fair forecasts for the future. Reliable data will inform us about employment status, enabling us to allocate resources to address other development challenges.
My team and I are participating in this exercise today. I encourage everyone to make themselves available for the data collection at designated centers and times. By doing so, you are contributing to sustainable growth and development."
The exercise will include biometrics to generate a unique identity for each resident of the State.
