The Amnesty Programme has been introduced by the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency to streamline the payment and registration processes for both new and existing signage owners in the state.

According to the Managing Director of LASAA, Fatiu Akiolu, the programme aims to make it easier for business owners to register and make payments, while also promoting adherence to signage laws. As part of the Amnesty Programme, LASAA has launched a helpline for a quick payment process to assist business owners in navigating the payment procedures.

The LASAAMP campaign is focused on simplifying the payment process for all business owners, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises that may be struggling with the current payment methods, with a strong emphasis on compliance and the repercussions of non-compliance with signage regulations.

“As part of the LASAAMP initiative, LASAA is introducing quick payment process helplines to guide business owners through the payment process effortlessly. The helplines are: 0908-801-93062, 0908-801-93083, 0908-801-93124, 0908-801-93145, and 0908-801-9338.”

The Head of Strategy and Corporate Communication at LASAA, Temitope Akande, stated that all applications for signage and payment renewals will be considered at amnesty registrations from May 15 to June 25.

Akande noted that to guarantee effectiveness, LASAA had sent out specialised teams to each of its five Lagos State divisions, including Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, and Epe.

The Head of Innovation and Operation at the agency, Gbolahan Dixon, also mentioned that each team will be assigned a supervisor responsible for managing a WhatsApp-enabled communication line to promptly address any inquiries.
